Liam Neeson’s role in Batman Begins changed the entire scope of superhero movies. His character Henri Ducard, Bruce Wayne’s mentor, proved to be a worthy adversary and put to rest the wave of lame villains in Batman’s movie history. As Henri Ducard, he raised the bar for all the other villains to come, Heath Ledger’s the Joker and even Tom Hardy’s Bane, who has yet to prove himself a worthy villain in the illustrious hall of baddies in the Nolanverse.

This Friday Battlefield comes out and Liam Neeson is in it. Which to me, is a great treat since Battleship is about a Hasbro toy, which I don’t have a problem with, since Tranformers are dumb fun. I can only expect that Battleship delivers something similar, right?

Schindler’s List won 7 Oscars and was a turning point in Steven Spielberg and Liam Neeson’s carrers.

Oskar Schindler is a vain, glorious and greedy German businessman who becomes unlikely humanitarian amid the barbaric Nazi reign when he feels compelled to turn his factory into a refuge for Jews. Based on the true story of Oskar Schindler who managed to save about 1100 Jews from being gassed at the Auschwitz concentration camp. A testament for the good in all of us.

To this day, Schindler’s List is one of the most respectable movies about the Holocaust and one of Liam Neeson’s most important parts in his career.

I gather that some people think that Liam Neeson is an unlikely action star, but let’s not forget that before Schindler’s List he was freaking Darkman for Sam Raimi, alright?
